Oyster Asian-Style Salad (Chicken and Lettuce) from the Philippines

    Ingredients

    172g Chicken breast (skinless, boneless)
    1 head green Leaf Lettuce
    28.35g sweet Onions
    sliced and rinsed well
    1 small Turnip
    small, cut into strips
    61g Carrots
    cut into strips
    1/4 cup roasted Peanuts (with salt)
    toasted
    13.33g Coriander (cilantro) leaves
    12g Garlic
    minced
    176g Limes
    juiced
    13.6g Sesame, Salad or Cooking Oil
    59.15g filtered Water
    1/4 cup Maggi Oyster Sauce (from the Philippines)

    Instructions

    Gently simmer chicken in a pot with water for 10 minutes. Strain and set aside to cool. Shred into bite-size pieces.

    Set aside 6 big leaves of lettuce to use as bases for the wraps. Place on a serving plate. Shred the rest of the lettuce.

    Prepare the dressing by combining garlic, MAGGI Oyster Sauce, lime juice, sesame oil and water. Mix well.

    Combine chicken, shredded lettuce, onion, jicama, carrot, peanuts and cilantro in a large bowl. Lightly coat with half of the dressing and place on top of every lettuce. Serve immediately with the remaining dressing on the side.

    Chicken breast may be replaced with tofu in making lettuce wrap.
