What you need

¼ cup (60 ml) Red quinoa
¼ cup (60 ml) Steel cut oats
½ cup (125 ml) Almond milk, unsweetened
½ teaspoon (2 ml) Vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon (1 ml) Ground cinnamon
1 cup (250 ml) Low-fat plain Greek yogurt
¼ teaspoon (1 ml) Ground nutmeg
2 cups (500 ml) Fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
2 teaspoons (30 ml) Sunflower seeds

How to prepare

Instructions

The Night Before:

Cook quinoa as per package directions; let cool completely. Combine cooked quinoa, almond milk, oats, vanilla and cinnamon. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

 

In the Morning:

In bowl, combine CARNATION BREAKFAST ESSENTIALS Powder Drink Mix – Vanilla, yogurt and nutmeg. Spoon one-quarter of the quinoa mixture into each of 2 glasses; spoon one-quarter of the yogurt mixture over top, then sprinkle with one-half of the berries. Repeat layers.

 

 

Tips

Garnish

with sunflower seeds.
