At Nido and Cerelac, we understand that as new Canadians undertake two life journeys - from starting a family to bridging the gap between two cultures - they’re blending excitement, hope, and anticipation for new beginnings. We also recognize that amidst life changes and growing families many yearn to preserve and share cultural traditions with the next generation*. That’s why we are launching The Living Traditions Library, a new resource for parents to preserve traditions for years to come. As part of this initiative, we are hosting a giveaway where new Canadians can participate by posting an entry to ‘The Living Traditions Library’. By doing so, they stand a chance to win a grand cash prize of $2,000 and NIDO & Cerelac products to help support their families journey in Canada, with 3 secondary cash prizes of $1,000 also up for grabs!
*This initiative is based on survey findings that 40% of newcomers to Canada are concerned about losing traditions from their home country, and even more (51%) of newcomers indicated that maintaining their cultural traditions is highly important to them. From May 2nd to May 6th 2024 a Maru Public Opinion online survey of 514 randomly selected new Canadian adults (arrived in Canada in the last 5 years) from the Maru Voice Canada online panel was conducted by Maru/Blue on behalf of Nestle. The overall data is weighted to be representative of the new Canadian adult population. A probability sample of this size has an estimated margin of error (which measures sampling variability) of +/- 4.3%, 19 times out of 20.
