At Nestlé Canada, our top priority has always been, and continues to be, the quality of our products. If you’ve noticed black or brown specs in your COFFEE MATE powder, allow us to explain how this may have happened.

In rare situations during production, COFFEE MATE powder can stick to the side of mixing machines causing some powder to become overcooked. These overcooked pieces can fall into the larger batch, breaking up into smaller black or brown particles before moving to the packaging phase of production.

Rest assured, these particles do not pose any harm and can be consumed however, it may not taste very good. We want you to enjoy the product as it should be. Please send us the product information and we will also be glad to share this information with our Quality Assurance team for ongoing improvements and awareness.
