NESCAFÉ® Rich Jar Appears Underfilled
Friday, June 13, 2025
Does your NESCAFÉ® jar appear to be underfilled? If this is the case, we first recommend that you check your packaging or seal for any damage. If the jar or seal has been damaged, we do not recommend consuming the product.
If the product is fully sealed it is likely that this could be due to the coffee settling over time, which is a common occurrence with powdered products. Flipping the jar upside down a few times should fix the issue.

Rest assured we have a stringent quality assurance process to ensure the jars are filled correctly and you are getting the quantity in grams as declared on the label.
The factory utilizes a machine that scans jars and rejects those that do not contain coffee at the "neck" level during production. Alongside the x-rays that verify the fill level is adequate, the factory employs a checkweigher to guarantee the correct net weight is upheld. Nevertheless, it is possible for the coffee to settle further over time once it departs from the factory.
If flipping the jar upside down and shaking the jar does not solve the issue, we would love to share the details of your experience with our Quality Assurance team to further assess the situation.
We would ask that you contact us and provide the following details:
- A picture of the product and the issue you are experiencing
- Is the jar still fully sealed?
- When did you notice the issue?
- Product UPC number (12 digit code)
- Batch Code (series of numbers. time stamp, best before date)
- Store of purchase (name and location)
Note: Please keep the jar and note that it is possible our Quality Assurance team may want to retrieve the sealed jar for investigation.
