BOOST High Protein Chocolate Banana Steel Cut Oats

    Ingredients

    1 cup (250 ml) Milk 2%
    1 tablespoon (15 ml) Honey
    1 pinch Salt
    1 cup (250 ml) Steel-cut oats
    1 Banana
    sliced
    1/4 cup (60 ml) Vanilla low-fat yogurt

    Instructions

    Stir together milk, BOOST® High Protein Chocolate, 1 cup (250 mL) water, honey and salt. Stir in oats. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

    Reduce heat to simmer and cook, stirring occasionally and scraping the bottom often, for 18 to 20 minutes or until oats are tender and mixture thickens.

    Serve immediately with sliced banana and dollop of yogurt.

    Tips

    Lower Sugar Option

    For a lower sugar option, substitute with Boost Diabetic Chocolate (0.5g sugar vs 14g sugar in Boost High Protein)

    Nuts

    Add a few chopped toasted pecans or walnuts to oatmeal while cooking.

    Chocolate

    Dust with cocoa powder if desired.
