Servings: 6 servings

    Ingredients

6 tbsp. COFFEE-MATE French Vanilla liquid
    1 1/2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
    6 eggs
    1 tbsp sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/8 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 cup flour
1 stale baguette, challah, or brioche loaf, cut into 1″ slices
    2 tbsp butter

    Instructions

    1

In a large bowl, whisk together COFFEE-MATE, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Sift flour into egg mixture, whisking to incorporate.

    2

Pour egg mixture into a large, shallow pan and add bread slices. Soak for 30 minutes, flipping bread slices halfway through to soak both sides evenly. Preheat oven to 325F.

    3

Melt 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. In batches, remove bread slices from egg mixture and fry the slices until golden brown, 3 to 5 minutes per side, adding more butter as necessary. Transfer slices to baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes in the oven to ensure French toast is cooked through.

If you only have fresh bread on hand, toast slices in 200°F oven for 15 minutes.
