KIT KAT POPS Fruit Custard

    Ingredients

    ½ cup KIT KAT POPS
    2 ½ cups Milk
    1/3 cup Sugar, white
    ¼ cup Custard powder
    ½ cup Mango, peeled & diced
    ½ cup Canned mandarin orange segments, drained
    ½ cup Strawberries, sliced
    ½ cup Banana, sliced
    2 tablespoons Almonds, sliced

    Instructions

    Combine 2 cups milk and sugar in a saucepan and set over low heat. Stir occasionally until dissolved.

    In a separate bowl, combine custard powder with remaining ½ cup milk until smooth.

    Stir in the custard mixture into the saucepan and whisk frequently until it starts to thicken, about 4 mins. Do not let it stick to the bottom of the pan.

    Important! Remove from heat and continue whisking for another 3-4 minutes until custard cools down.

    Transfer cooled custard to a serving bowl, cover and chill for at least 1 hour, or longer. Custard will thicken further as it cools.

    Wash and slice your fruit. Add the fruit, sliced almonds and KIT KAT POPS to the custard just before serving, stirring it gently to mix.

    Top with additional fruit, sliced almonds & KIT KAT POPS.

    Stir continuously

    During the cooking process, stir custard mixture continuously with a whisk to prevent it from sticking and burning, and ensure it's cooking on low heat.
