What you need

2 cups (500 ml) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (60 ml) whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp. (4 ml) baking powder
3/4 tsp. (4 ml) baking soda
2 large eggs
2 ½ cups (625 ml) low-fat buttermilk (or 2% milk and 1 tsp. lemon juice)
1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) unsalted butter, melted

How to prepare


Mix all dry ingredients together.

Stir eggs, milk, and melted butter into dry ingredients, mix thoroughly.

Rest batter for 20 minutes before adding to pan or waffle iron.
