NESCAFÉ Italian Biscotti
Biscotti, also known as cantucci originated in the Tuscan city of Prato. Bake these Italian biscuits twice to make them crunchy enough for dunking in your favorite hot drink. Try this variation made with the special touch of NESCAFÉ GOLD.
Ingredients
Instructions
Mix the butter with the sugar until fluffy and, continuing to beat, add the eggs one by one. Add the flour with the baking powder and baking soda, previously passed through a sieve, alternating with the coffee, prepared with the NESCAFÉ GOLD Dark Roast capsule, also add the essence of vanilla, the walnut and the almond. Beat perfectly until everything is integrated.
Place the dough on a tray with waxed paper, shape it into an elongated and uniform shape, as if it were a loaf of bread. Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Cut the loaf of bread into 1 cm thick slices, arrange them lying on a tray and bake for another 15 minutes or until golden brown on both sides.
Remove from the oven, let cool and serve.
Tips
culinary advice
You can add chopped nuts (walnuts, pine nuts, blueberries, almonds, pistachios) to the dough.
Tip for Biscotti
Oven preheated to 180 °C. Remember to flour your hands to prevent the dough from sticking to you. To keep biscotti crispy, store them in an airtight bag or container.
