Ingredients: Milk chocolate (sugar, modified milk ingredients, cocoa butter, unsweetened chocolate, soy lecithin, polyglycerol polyricinoleate, natural flavour), Wheat flour, Sugar, Modified palm oil, Cocoa, Baking soda, Soy lecithin, Yeast, Protease, and Xylanase. 

SMARTIES (45 g) 

Ingredients: Milk chocolate (sugar, milk ingredients, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, whey powder, lactose, soya lecithin, polyglycerol polyricinoleate, natural flavour), Sugar, Wheat flour, Modified corn starch, Carnauba wax, and Colour. Please note that small candies may pose a choking hazard. 

COFFEE CRISP Wafer Bar (50 g) 

Ingredients: Sugar, Wheat flour, Modified milk ingredients,Palm oil, Modified palm and vegetable oils, Cocoa butter, Cocoa mass, Soy lecithin, Coffee, Cocoa, Baking soda, Yeast, Polyglycerol polyricinoleate, and Natural flavours. 

AERO Milk Chocolate Bar (42 g) 

Ingredients: Milk chocolate (sugar, modified milk ingredients, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, soy lecithin, polyglycerol polyricinoleate, and natural flavour).

SMARTIES products contain wheat, and some AERO® products may contain wheat.  

To enjoy a product without worry we recommend that you always verify the product label for allergen warnings. If it contains any sources of gluten, it will be listed. The label on the package is the most up to date, and we strongly encourage consumers with any dietary needs or restrictions to look at the ingredients at the store prior to making any purchase or before consumption. 

Only specific products will have the “Gluten-Free” logo, as we have multiple manufacturing locations. If your product does not show the logo on the packaging, it may not meet requirements for claiming to be, “gluten-free”. 

We follow the regulations by Health Canada and guidance from the CFIA. At Nestlé, the sources of gluten are declared by the grain name in the ingredient list or if there is a risk of cross-contamination, in the “May Contain” statement of the product label. 

We’re always striving to meet the needs of our diverse consumer group. For our Nestlé products sold in Canada, we currently don’t facilitate halal certification; instead, we rely on the home market of our imported products for that claim. If the product is already certified, we then decide on whether to use the claim, according to Canadian Food Inspection Agency guidelines. 

We always recommend that consumers verify product packaging for specific halal symbols.   

Made In A Peanut-Free Facility: All NESTLÉ KITKAT, AERO, SMARTIES, and COFFEE CRISP mini-sized products are prepared in a Canadian peanut-free facility where we employ rigorous quality control processes to ensure its peanut-free status; There may be other products under the KITKAT, AERO, SMARTIES, or COFFEE CRISP brands that contain peanuts, so be sure to read the label every time.  

We put our “Peanut Free” logo on our mini-sized favourites (KitKat, Coffee Crisp, Aero and Smarties) exclusively made in our peanut free facility in Toronto.  Some of our products may not have the “Peanut Free” logo on them, as we have multiple manufacturing locations. If your treat does not show the “Peanut Free” logo on the packaging, it may not have been tested or produced at our peanut-free facility.  

Rest assured that we are required to follow the regulations by Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Any products containing peanuts would have them listed either in the ingredient list or in a “May Contain” statement.
