Discoloured Gerber® Organic Purées

When it comes to your baby, we don’t settle for anything but the very best. The quality of our products and the safety of your little one have always been, and continue to be, our top priority.

Since our Gerber® Organic Purées contain fruits and vegetables, the colour of the products can easily be affected for the following reasons:

• Exposure to extreme temperatures.  
• Purée inside the spout area may oxidize more quickly (product in this area gets darker).  
• Fruits and vegetables cooked during manufacturing appear to have a change in colour from their raw form. 
• Natural colour variation between batches due to natural ingredients and crop variability. 
• Due to clear packaging, the product has exposure to light, which can cause the ingredients to darken.

We want to reassure you that the change in colour for these reasons is not a safety issue. Each baby purée goes through 100 quality checks before it gets to the shelf or to your door. We take great care to ensure our Gerber® Organic Purées are properly packaged, with the seal intact for freshness. We insist on using the best ingredients from the most trusted sources, and a taste good enough to put adorable smiles on any tiny face.
